After a five-star world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a sold-out run at The Echo Theatre in Los Angeles, Nine Twenty Collective is thrilled to bring Certain Death and Other Considerations to Portland, OR as part of our west-coast tour. 

The play is a dark comedy grounded in eco-anxiety. Through a unique combination of Greek tragic structure, realism, and physical theatre, it explores the implications of living as the last viable generation—the good, the bad, and the funny.

Certain Death and Other Considerations was created with the belief that political theatre need not be pedantic to be poignant. It can be fun. Written between the shadow of the pandemic and the looming reality of climate catastrophe, this play chooses to laugh. After all, in the face of certain death, what else can you do?
